At Functional Behavior Institute, our mission is simple: to help young children with autism build the skills they need to communicate, grow, and navigate everyday life with confidence.
We believe early intervention can make a meaningful difference in a child’s development. By focusing on communication, independence, and daily life skills at a young age, children can build a strong foundation that supports them throughout childhood and beyond.
Our goal is to create an environment where children feel encouraged, families feel supported, and progress happens one step at a time.

Every agency needs someone who believes in the mission before anyone else does.
For James Church, BCBA, that commitment started early. He has been working with children with Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) since 2010, working through every level of the field — beginning as a interventionist, advancing to Board Certified Assistant Behavior Analyst (BCaBA), and ultimately earning his Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) certification.
He received his Master's Degree in Special Education with a focus in Applied Behavior Analysis from Arizona State University in 2015, and has spent his career focused on helping children develop meaningful, lasting skills.
In 2021, James founded Functional Behavior Institute with a clear mission: to create a place where families in Las Vegas could find reliable, high-quality early intervention services grounded in both clinical excellence and genuine care.
He believes early intervention can change the trajectory of a child's life, that families deserve a true partner in the process, and that children are capable of far more than they are often given credit for.
Those beliefs aren't just ideas — they shape how FBI operates every day.

At Functional Behavior Institute, our therapists are known around the clinic as our FBI Agents — Registered Behavior Technicians who bring energy, patience, and compassion to their work every day.
Each agent is carefully selected and trained to not only understand the science of behavior, but to connect with children in a way that makes learning engaging, supportive, and meaningful.
Because great therapy is not just about knowledge — it’s about how that knowledge is delivered. It takes empathy, creativity, and a genuine commitment to helping children succeed.
Functional Behavior Institute provides ABA therapy for children with Autism Spectrum Disorder in Las Vegas, Nevada. Our team supports families through clinic-based and in-home therapy designed to help children build communication, independence, and everyday life skills.
