Frequently Asked Questions

Please reach us at JChurch@fbi-aba.com if you cannot find an answer to your question.

Yes. A formal diagnosis of Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD) is required before beginning ABA therapy. This allows providers to create an appropriate treatment plan and is also necessary for insurance coverage.

If your child has not yet been diagnosed, your pediatrician can help guide you through the evaluation process.

Getting started is simple. Complete the form on our website, and a member of our team will reach out to learn more about your child, answer questions, and guide you through the next steps.

This typically includes insurance verification and scheduling an initial assessment.

We currently accept:

• Medicaid
• Anthem Blue Cross Blue Shield
• TriCare
• SilverSummit Healthplan
• Molina Healthcare

If you're unsure about coverage, please rech out us at JChurch@fbi-aba.com and our team can help verify your benefits.

We offer both. Families can choose between:

• Clinic-based therapy — structured environment with opportunities for peer interaction
• In-home therapy — support within your child’s daily routines and familiar surroundings

We’ll help you determine what’s the best fit for your child.

Our clinic is located at 2450 Chandler Ave, Suite #4, Las Vegas, NV 89120 — near the Sunset and Eastern area.

Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) is a therapy that helps children build communication, social, and daily living skills. It focuses on how children learn and uses structured teaching and positive reinforcement to support progress over time.

The number of therapy hours depends on your child’s individual needs and is determined during the initial assessment process.

Some children benefit from a few hours per week focused on specific skill areas, while others may need a more comprehensive schedule to support communication, behavior, and daily routines. Recommendations are based on your child’s strengths, areas of need, and developmental goals.

Insurance coverage can also affect the number of approved hours, and our team will help guide you on what is recommended and available based on your plan.

Our goal is to find a balance that supports meaningful progress while fitting into your family’s routine.

Sessions are structured but flexible, based on your child’s individual needs, goals, and energy level that day.

A typical session may include:

• Rapport-building and pairing (building trust and comfort)
• Skill-building activities
• Play-based learning
• Communication practice (including verbal language or systems like PECS)
• Social interaction and play skills
• Daily routines and independence skills

Our therapists use a mix of structured teaching and play to keep children engaged and motivated. Sessions are designed to feel supportive and interactive, not overwhelming.

The goal is to help children learn in a way that feels natural while building skills they can use in everyday life.

Every child is different, and progress can vary depending on their starting point and goals.

Some skills may develop quickly, while others take more time and repetition. ABA therapy focuses on steady, meaningful progress rather than quick fixes.

One of the biggest factors in progress is consistency. When the skills learned during sessions are carried over into daily routines at home, children often make stronger and more lasting gains.

We work closely with families to help support that consistency so progress continues beyond each session.

Children should come to sessions dressed comfortably and ready to move, play, and participate in activities.

We recommend:

• Comfortable, play-friendly clothing
• Sneakers or closed-toe shoes
• Clothing appropriate for indoor and outdoor activities

Some sessions may include movement, play, or sensory activities, so it’s best to dress your child in clothes they can easily move around in.
